Featuring approximately 130 sets of exquisite Tang tri-color artifacts from the two capitals Chang’an and Luoyang of the Tang Dynasty, the exhibition comprehensively showcases the art of Tang tri-color glazed pottery through its origin, kiln sites, classification, and the development and dissemination of its techniques. Tang tri-color glazed pottery is renowned for their elegant forms, vibrant colors, rich cultural connotations, and exquisite craftsmanship. It holds significant historical, scientific, and artistic value and occupies an important place in the history of ceramics and sculpture, both in China and globally.
Tang tri-color glazed pottery is a symphony of a flourishing era. This exhibition brings together the finest tri-color artifacts from Shaanxi and Henan, offering visitors the opportunity to appreciate their forms, marvel at their beauty, and experience the brilliance of Tang culture and the profundity of China’s traditional heritage.
This exhibition has been selected by the National Cultural Heritage Administration as one of the twelve “2016 Thematic Exhibitions on Promoting Excellent Traditional Culture and Cultivating Socialist Core Values”. It is free to the public and will last for three months.
