Looking back at the war years, the people’s army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) had gone through numerous obstacles and made great sacrifices along the way of seeking liberation and happiness for the Chinese people.
This exhibition takes the people’s armed struggle led by the CPC as the background, and the photos, manuscripts, books and objects related to the veterans as the exhibits, to commemorate the revolutionary history and the soldiers’ heroic deeds at that time. The exhibition consists of four parts in chronological order: “The Revolutionary Spark”, “The War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression”, “The War of Liberation”, and “The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea”. The exhibits mainly come from the families of the veterans. They are witnesses to the people’s army’s arduous journey in the flames of battles, embodying the patriotic enthusiasm and dedication of revolutionary predecessors who fought bravely during the war years.
Academic lectures for the public were also held as a supplement to the exhibition, intending to better interpret the touching stories of the heroes related to the exhibits.
This exhibition is presented as a gift on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
