The Battle against COVID-19 at the Museum Frontier
25 September 2020 – 25 November 2021
At the beginning of 2020, people of all walks of life joined hands to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. On February 11, the National Cultural Heritage Administration launched on its official micro-blog the cultural-relic poster relay project entitled “Sending Blessings to Hubei and Good Wishes to the Motherland”. Our museum actively participated. Now the online relay has come to an end. In order to better serve the public audience, we hold this exhibition to show the exquisite cultural relic posters, typical anti-COVID-19 objects and touching heroic stories to the local public.
This exhibition displays the posters produced by over 140 domestic and international cultural and museum institutions, and more than 100 on-the-spot pictures and anti-pandemic objects collected from the society. In order to record the arduous process of the nationwide fight against the epidemic, the exhibition is designed into a narrative line with four parts: “Outbreak at the beginning of the new year”, “Courageous heroes in solidarity”, “Overseas help and encouragement”, “Blessings from heaven”.
The exhibition is under the guidance of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, sponsored by the China Cultural Heritage Information Consulting Center, and co-organized by more than 140 cultural-relic institutions and museums, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University and other medical and health units.
