China has made remarkable achievements and progress in the field of sports under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the past century. The development of the sports industry improved not only the physical fitness of the people but also the international competitiveness of the country, making it an important force for China’s economic transformation and modernization.
The exhibition is divided into two chapters by the year 1949. The first chapter consists of three parts respectively reviewing Chinese physical education led by the CPC during the Agrarian Revolution, the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation. The second chapter also contains three parts: “New China”, “The Period of Reform & Opening-up”, and “The New Era”. The exhibition displays more than 500 relevant pictures and 221 exhibits about significant sports events, and showcases 6 videos and 5 classic sport-venue models.
The design of the exhibition is innovative, with a winding atmospheric path and modern techniques to keep a balance between movement and stillness full of momentum as well as tension to achieve a perfect unity of content and form.
The revolutionary tradition and self-reliance of the CPC and the Chinese sports spirit of self-improvement and indomitable endeavor are fully displayed through these precious sports items, pictures, videos, and works of art.
