An Inspiration to Victory
— An Exhibition of Artifacts from the Korean War
25 October 2023–25 April 2024
Exhibition Room 5
China’s resounding victory in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953) is a significant milestone in China’s progress towards national rejuvenation, with great and far-reaching impact on China and the world. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory, nearly 1,000 cultural relics with accurate records have been selected to be displayed as the epitome of Shaanxi people’s devotion to the war effort. The exhibition is organized through the perspective of a visiting group to North Korea, demonstrating the support and contribution of the people from northwest China. It interprets the victory as an achievement by the unity of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army (PVA) and the Chinese people that the poorly-equipped Chinese troops finally defeated the modernized Americans. Their solidarity and perseverance valiantly transcend time and space.
Special thanks to the Memorial Hall of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea in Dandong of Liaoning Province for its full support.
