Ticket Information

The Shaanxi History Museum (No. 91 Xiaozhai East Road, Yanta District) has a maximum daily visitor capacity of 12,000 people. Tickets can be booked 5 days in advance via the reservation system (e.g., tickets for October 1st are released on September 26th), with bookings available daily at 17:00. 

 Due to venue facility renovation and upgrading, some exhibition halls will be closed. The number of tickets will be dynamically adjusted according to the open area of the venue.

Visiting Hours: May 6, 2026 to November 14, 2026

Opening Hours: 8:30–19:00 (ticket checking stops at 18:00), with a daily ticket quota of 14,000.

Shaanxi History Museum Qin-Han Gallery (East Section of Lanchi 3rd Road, Qin-Han New City, Xixian New Area),Visitors may enter the museum without reservation by presenting the original valid ID document under their own name.

Visiting sessions from April 1 to October 31:  

Opening Hours: 8:30–18:00 (Last admission at 17:00)

Tickets are valid for the day and session only and are not interchangeable between the two museums. Please adhere strictly to your scheduled time slot for admission. Tickets cannot be checked upon arrival outside the reserved time.

Appointment Process

1. Reservation process: Please visit the official WeChat official account, enter the ticket reservation system, select the date and number of visits, add visitor information, and fill in and save the visit plan. After the ticket is released, go to "Plan Query" and click the "Appointment" button to make an appointment. You can check if the reservation was successful in the "Order Inquiry" section. Kind reminder: It is recommended that you fill out and save the visit plan in advance, and click the "Appointment" button during the ticket release time to make an appointment. Submitting only the visit plan does not complete the reservation. Please make sure to make the reservation during the ticket release time. Failure to make a successful reservation will result in inability to enter the museum for the visit.

2. Appointment rules: Each visit plan can add up to 5 visitors, and each ID number is limited to booking 1 visit ticket per day. For the convenience of ticket reservation, the system supports filling in and saving the visit plan in advance. The successfully booked visit plan will be converted into a visit order, and the remaining visit plans will be automatically cleared at 24:00 every day. Children under the age of 14 (inclusive) cannot make separate appointments and must make appointments together with adults, and their admission will be verified simultaneously with the person making the appointment.

3. Refund policy: If you are unable to visit the museum due to changes in your itinerary, you must refund your ticket in the official reservation platform's order inquiry before the ticket check stops during the scheduled time period. Failure to refund within the deadline will be considered as a breach of contract, and tickets cannot be booked within 180 natural days from the date of breach.

Entry process

1. Visitors who have reserved tickets for the "Basic Exhibition" at Shaanxi History Museum (Address: No. 91 Xiaozhai East Road, Yanta District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province) are requested to cooperate with the staff to check the reservation order during the scheduled time on the day of visit. They should scan their ID card and enter the museum directly.

2. The Qin and Han Hall of Shaanxi History Museum (address: East Section of Lanchi 3rd Road, Qin and Han New City, Xixian New Area, Shaanxi Province) can enter the museum area by presenting the reservation code at the entrance, and then swipe your ID card at the security checkpoint to visit the museum.
